Spice your education with international flavour

This semester enriches your ordinary studies with contemporary education within, among others, the area of project management, group dynamics, experience of work in multicultural groups, oral and written presentation and negotiation techniques.
You can tailor the semester yourself so it suits your interest and your recent study programme. 

The International Project Semester is a cooperation between the three higher education institutions Hogeschool van Amsterdam, Netherlands, Mittuniversitetet, Sweden and Høgskolen in Sør-Trøndelag, Norway.  
The cooperation secures a broad source of competence and expertise to guide you through your studies. As a student you will meet students, lecturers and practitioners from different countries and cultures, which will give you valuable international experience and skills. 
The overall goal of this semester is to provide you with an excellent competence appropriate for project work with a focus on projects in an international environment.
As student you have the possibility to tailor the content of the semester in a way that suits your personal carrier plans. The syllabus includes:

• Professional competence for international project work (10 ECTS).
• Subject specific courses (0-10 ECTS). Free choice dependent on your study plans.
• Project (10-20 ECTS).  Free choice dependent on your study plans.

Kick-off in Åre
We start with a four days kick-off event in Åre, where you will participate in an intensive programme introducing the course. During this event you will meet the lecturers and your fellow students in lectures, practical exercises, and other activities. The course does also include a second gathering at Campus when the focus will be on oral and written presentation techniques in English. The rest of the course we will use web based tools to keep in contact, broadcast lectures, have discussions, and give feed back on assignments. More about the kick-off event.

Campus: Sundsvall and Östersund
Prerequisites: At least 60 ECTS in main subject.  English B.1, which might need to be documented through TOEFL or IELTS tests.
