Why did you choose International Master in computer science at Mid Sweden University?
In the quest of the best university with advanced and up-to-date curriculum, Mid Sweden University fulfilled my demands and desires as the research facilities was very appealing to me. Therefore, Mid Sweden University was an obvious choice at the completion of my Bachelor in Computer Engineering.
What do you think about studying at Mid Sweden University?
Mid Sweden University provides an international level of the study environment with widely renowned faculties and names, such as Professor Theo Kanter, Professor Tingting Zhang, Dr. Stefan Pettersson, Mr. Magnus Ericsson, Dr. Patrik Österberg and Dr. Ulf Jennehag. The laboratories are quite well equipped with the latest equipments, a library with rich collections and the WebCT service is extremely convenient and beneficial.
What did you do prior to your studies?
To attain a better understanding of the theory and lab classes, assignments, projects, quizzes and exam, I had the privilege to attend the classes, group discussions, do home studies and consult with the teachers.
How did you benefit from your studies here?
I had the opportunity to work with friendly and helpful teachers, meritorious class fellows, well organized lab rooms with 24/7 access, pursuing project-thesis work with distinguished multinational companies and also availability of research funding. The University bears 100% of the expenses to publish my academic papers and I have attended conferences in Rome (the WASET conference) and the UK (the IEEE conference).
What are you doing now?
I am employed as a teaching assistant by the Department of Information Technology & Media (ITM) at Mid Sweden University in Sundsvall. In addition, I am conducting research work on Wireless multi hop ad hoc networking under the supervision of Mr. Magnus Ericsson.
Tell us a little about your work?
Presently I am having a very busy time with the teaching activities, i.e. attending lectures, labs, students’ grading, developing teaching material, scrutinizing assessment and exam papers and research activities, i.e. prepare research manuscripts, presentation slides, as well as recording and tabulating the results of the experiments.
What was it like to work in the lab of Mid Sweden University?
As stated earlier, there are well equipped lab rooms with the latest software platform, which I found very convenient and smooth. And also the generous help and support from the expert lab teachers added to the advantages.
Are you active in any student associations?
Yes, the student union always looks after our interests and guides us in study and extracurricular activities. It has given us the opportunity to be introduced to students from different countries, cultures and traditions, things that broaden our knowledge and experiences.
