Zimon Willén, Sweden, Biology
Why did you choose to study International Bachelor’s programme in Biology?
I have always been curious and interested in nature. To study biology is to learn to understand an aspect of the world we live in.
What is it like to study an international programme?
With so many people from so many places, all with different backgrounds and experiences, you not only learn from the teachers.
What do you think about Mid Sweden University?
The fact that it is a relatively small university has many advantages, you don’t disappear in the crowd and the professors have more time for the students as the groups are smaller.
What do you think about Sundsvall?
I like Sundsvall, it is a city big enough to offer something for all sorts of interests and small enough to not need a car to easily go into the nearest forest.
Have you studied abroad?
Last winter, I went with two classmates to Finland for a field course in Winter ecology. It was great fun to gather around twenty biologists from all over Europe for a hectic week filled with excursions, lab work, lectures and sauna!
