Bosse Bodén, researcher
Master of Arts in History and Social Sciences Education at Umeå University in 1983. The following years I was a teacher at Wargentinskolan, a Senior high school in Östersund. In the late 1980´s I resumed my studies in history at Umeå University and completed a Ph.D in economic history in 1995. I have been employed at Mid-Sweden University in Östersund since 1995; first as a Senior Lecturer in Economic History and thereafter within tourism studies (2003). In 2001, I also held a position at ETOUR as a project leader within tourism destination studies.
Current Duties
My research focuses on nature- based tourism and global warming, and the development of tourism destinations. Here my focus is on the integrated production system in an economic and social framework including entrepreneurship and regional development. I am also teaching at the program of Tourism Studies at Mid-Sweden University, Östersund.
