Research Profile - Energy Efficient Mechanical Pulping, e2mp-rp

Objective to create a long term world wide leading research co-producing research with  industry aiming for improved energy efficiency in processes for present and future mechanical pulp based products.

 

Filling the gap

Objective to improve basic understanding of the chip refining process to find ways of improvining energy efficiency within existing refining equipments. Joint project with CIT at Chalmers and seven companies.

 

FORE - Forest as a Resource

A concept based on mechanical pulp production using traditional and new fiber-based products which can be produced in synergy with, for example, extraction of chemicals, bio-energy, synthetic gas,electricity or minerals.

 

Industrial Research College for Mechanical Pulp Technology

Objectives to educate key R & D personell for the foreset industry and to co-produce research in the areas of energy efficiency, improved process stability and product quality stability and improved bleaching efficiency and brightness stability.
