STC researcher rewarded at the world's largest business plan competition

Last Friday Najeem Lawal researcher from STC @ MIUN was rewarded with SEK 5000 in the world's largest business plan competition, with his business idea OnParticle. A total of 110 business plans were submitted to the Venture Cup Nord finals.

Najeem Lawal is a researcher at the Department of electronics, and research center Sensible Things that Communicate, STC at Mid Sweden University. Already in October, he reached success with his business idea OnParticle at the contest jagharenide where he took home first prize in three categories. When Venture Cup Nord finals was settled by the end of last week Najeem Lawal was a winner again when the ten best business ideas of a total of 110 were chosen.

OnParticle is a method to find and classify the magnetic metal particles in the fluid. It tells you when there is increased risk of an engine failure. That way you can prevent costly failures in ships, offshore wind power and process industries, but also easy to find out when it's time to change the oil in your car.

Venture Cup is an organization that helps the aspiring entrepreneur to develop and implement business ideas. This is done by the world's largest business plan competition where they get feedback, coaching, training, inspiration and access to a good network of contacts.
