Mathematics BA (A), Applied Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics, 7.5 Credits

The calculus part of the course treats computations and applications of derivatives and integrals. It also gives an introduction to performing computations of derivatives and integrals as well as solving equations and simple differential equations by means of MATLAB. The statistics part of the course deals e.g. with descriptive statistics, stochastic variables, probability density and cumulative distribution functions, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing and linear regression, where computations on some parts are also carried out in MATLAB.
