Case management system NSP
NSP is a university-wide inventory and case management system. The system is also used to support internal processes such as scheduling, credit transfer and incident management. The internal order and order flow is also managed in NSP.
The four parts of the NSP system
The NSP consists of four modules, these are::
- Case management
- Order Management
- Asset Management
- Service Portal
Case management
This module helps businesses to manage cases created from different channels such as e-mail and the Service Portal in an orderly manner. Some cases are also created based on phone calls and chats with internal and external customers and from incident reporting. Among the business processes that the object supports are the Credit Transfer Process, the Scheduling Process, the Onboarding Process (for employees) and the Requets/Change/Problem Process. This module has the most users and among the businesses that use the case management are IT Support, Service Center, Caretaker's Office, Scheduling Function, Admissions, University Library and others.
Asset Management (CMDB)
As a public authority, Mid Sweden University is responsible for keeping track of its inventory such as computers, mobile phones, printers, etc. For this, one of the modules CMDB= Inventory in NSP is used. CMDB is currently used by about 40 administrators at the Infrastructure Department, the Departments, the Finance Division and other departments.
Order Management
The order management module in NSP manages the order process for computers, telephones and telephony and computer accessories as well as other technical equipment for employees. This is also where you can order promotional products and place orders with accounts.
Service Portal
In the Service Portal, employees, students and external stakeholders can submit cases to the operations that use NSP for case management and order management. In this way, the portal provides a common entry point for several businesses and makes it easy for the user to get an overview and follow their inquiries and orders.
