Faculty‑wide courses

The Faculty of Science, Technology and Media currently has two faculty-wide courses that are given regularly. These courses are compulsory for most of the faculty's doctoral students. Compulsory courses are stated in the general syllabus of the third-cycle subject.

• Scientific writing and presentation (course syllabus) is given every year during the spring semester. Kristen Snyder and Mårten Sjöström are the course coordinators.
• Scientific philosophy, ethics and research methods (course syllabus) is offered every year during the autumn semester. Kristen Snyder is the course coordinator.

Registration for the compulsory courses is made to the Faculty Office john.hakansson@miun.se. Maximum 20 participants. When registration for each course opens, an email will be sent out to all third-cycle students at the faculty.

Other courses within the doctoral programme are managed by the course coordinators within the respective doctoral subject. Course syllabi can be found here, choose subject or level of postgraduate education and you will find our selection.
