Student representation

As a doctoral student, you have the opportunity to influence your own education and it is important to take advantage of that opportunity!

The Council for third-cycle education (FUR) is responsible for the quality of the faculty's doctoral education and decides, among other things, on the admission of doctoral students and faculty-wide courses. The faculty's doctoral students have two representatives in the Council.

The Faculty Board is the faculty's highest decision-making collegial body where many strategic issues are discussed and decided. There are two places for student representatives in the Faculty Board, and one of them is usually a doctoral student.

The Academic Appointments Council has two places for student representatives, and one of them is usually a doctoral student.

It is the student unions in cooperation that appoint student representatives. Contact your student union if you are interested.
