Jag är sjuksköterska, lärare och vårdforskare. Mitt forskningsområde är egenvård och livshantering för personer med långvarig sjukdom och hur vårdpersonal kan stödja egenvård och livshantering. Egenvård och livshantering är de strategier personer med långvarig sjukdom använder för att leva ett bra och rikt liv.

Pågående forskning

Jag ingår i två forskargrupper:
• International Chronic and Complex Conditions Research Group (IC3RG) som är ett Kanadensiskt-Nederländskt-Svenskt samarbete med fokus på egenvård och livshantering, hantering av fatigue i vardagen och vårdbehov bland personer med långvariga sjukdomar. (https://www.dal.ca/sites/ic3rg.html)
• PRANSIT som är ett Nordiskt samarbete med fokus på överföringar inom och mellan vårdsystem och transitionsprocesser för personer med vårdbehov. PRANSIT arbetar främst med systematiska kvalitativa litteraturöversikter.

Undervisning

Jag undervisar främst på sjuksköterskeprogrammet, men även på specialistsjuksköterskeprogrammen. Min undervisning fokuserar på forskningsmetodik, kvalitativ metod, vetenskapligt skrivande, vetenskapsteori och egenvård.
