Bakgrund

Luca Beltramelli received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree in in electronic engineering from Università degli Studi di Brescia (Italy) in 2012 and 2015 respectively, with a thesis on the subject of WiFi localization conducted in the ABB Corporate Research Center of Västerås (Sweden). In 2020 he obtained the Ph.D. degree in Computer and System Sciences from Mid Sweden University, Sweden with a thesis titled “Random and Hybrid Medium Access for M2M Communication: Scalability and Energy Analysis. Since 2020, he is a postdoctoral researcher at the department of information systems and technology at MIUN.

Forskningsområden

I am interested in industrial automation and machine-to-machine communication. The main subject of my research is machine-to-machine communications in smart grid and other cyber-physical systems.

Pågående forskning

My ongoing research is focused on Low Power Wide Area Network designs and on novel MAC Layer Protocols for machine type communication.
