CER researchers granted Interreg funding.
Barbro Widerstedt from CER, along with colleagues from Mid Sweden University and Nord University in Norway, has been awarded a grant of over 170,000 Euros for the project 'Borderless Competence.
The three-year project is focused on discovering opportunities in a cross-border labour market region and understanding the abilities of young individuals without being restricted by norms and preconceived ideas. The project aims to clarify how employers view competence, identify who possesses it, determine its location, and explore how attitudes, norms, and beliefs about essential skills influence the career choices of young individuals. The ultimate goal is to expand the career options available to young people in the job market.
