On June 26, 2024, the latest edition of the book The Swedish Media Landscape: The Struggle for Opinion Formation and Journalism was released, where Ingela Wadbring, professor of media development at Mid Sweden University, is one of the authors. The book takes a comprehensive approach to the Swedish media industry and explores the changes in everything from traditional media to digital platforms.

The book discusses current and future conditions for journalism and opinion formation, and through a historical overview, the reader gains an understanding of the structures that shape today's media landscape. The impact of digitalization is in focus, and the book has therefore been updated with a special section on the emergence of platform logic and how it is changing the role of media logic.

To further deepen the conversation about the book, Ingela Wadbring, together with Professor Jonas Harvard from Mid Sweden University, has released a podcast episode, where she presents the book's content and, reluctantly, offers three predictions for the future of journalism.
