Britta Andres is the winner of Alf de Ruvo Scholarship

The Alf de Ruvo Foundation awards scholarships to researchers within the sphere of cellulose-fibre-based materials. The scholarship for 2018 will go to Britta Andres, Mid Sweden University and Eric Borggren, TetraPak. The amount of each scholarship is SEK 250,000. Congratulations Britta!

The scholarship will be awarded at Ekmandagarna in Stockholm in January 2018. 
The foundation was formed in 2000 with funds donated in memory of Alf de Ruvo (1938 – 2000), Licentiate of Engineering and Executive Vice President of Essity former SCA. His friends both within and outside the scientific community made the first contributions together with Essity to ensure a satisfactory annual yield.

The purpose of the Foundation is to support forest industrial educational and research activities which promote the technical and scientific progress of the industry.
The scholarships are appointed by the members of the Board of the Foundation in consultation with a research council. There is no application process.

Earlier holders of the Alf de Ruvo Scholarship from Mid Sweden University are Christina Dahlström (2014), Kaarlo Niskanen (2009), Birgitta Engberg (2007), Magnus Norgren (2004).
