Researcher rewarded at Boost Innovation™

In October, Dr. Muhammad Imran was rewarded with 25 000 SEK for "best solution" in the contest Boost Innovation™ arranged by Fiber Optic Valley. The challenge was to find a way to detect unseen damp with new technology, and Dr. Imran's solution was the winning entry.

Dr. Muhammad Imran was rewarded for his solution to the challenge "Find a way to detect unseen damp with new technology" in the contest Boost Innovation. The innovation is about developing new sensors to detect moisture without affecting facades. The techniqe is called NIR and it has also been develop to solve other challenges, such as detecting ice on roadways.

The jury motivation said: ”An innovation with a clear need and potential to become a global product. In addition, a trustworthy cooperation with the ability to quickly reach the market".
