STC hosted a national research conference
On May 31 - June 2 more than 50 researchers from all over Sweden where gathered at Mid Sweden University for the three-day conference. There was the two national conferences The Swedish Communication Technologies Workshop (Swe-CTW) and The Swedish National Computer Networking Workshop (SNCNW) that coordinated their workshops at Mid Sweden University.
There were researchers from several Sweden universities that participated to immerse themselves and make contacts through research presentations, seminars and a poster exhibition. Keynote speaker at the conference was Patrik Fältström from Netnod who talked about market-driven challenges to the open Internet standardization.
The participants also got a guided tour through the town of Sundsvall and was offered a conference dinner with specialties from the Sundsvall area.
Swe-CTW and SNCNW has been held every year and at a different location each time. The conference is within the topics Computer Networking and Communication Technologies. STC was the organizer of the conference, which was one of the objectives of the research strategy and a preparation for the major international research conference within Smart Cameras that Mid Sweden University is hosting the autumn of 2017.
