Guest seminar in statistical machine learning
As increasing amount of data becomes available, both academic and industrial world have been paying more and more attention to machine learning. In this area, Dr. Xijia Liu from Umeå University held an interesting seminar during his visit at STC and IST.
September 13, STC got a visit from Dr. Xijia Liu from Umeå University. Dr. Liu, who is working as senior research engineer at the department of mathematics and mathematical statistics at Umeå University, held a seminar about his research in statistical machine learning. His current research focus on statistical learning methods and application on image analysis and computer vision. It was a good meeting with rewarding talks and an exciting lecture. Thank you Xijia!
