A visit from the Institute Industrial IT ‑ The start of new international cooperation
This Thursday, STC got a visit from The Institute Industrial IT (inIT) from Lemgo, Germany. The team from inIT got a presentation of the research center STC and after that a guided tour in the lab where Prof. Bengt Oelmann presented the latest research in Energy Harvesting.
During the day both inIT and STC presented their activities and research and discussed future collaborations within Industrial IoT and Smart communities and found several areas of cooperation. The new 5G network at Mid Sweden University was of great interest and also communications systems for industrial use and IoT solutions for medium-sized cities.
The team from inIT was invited by Prof. Mikael Gidlund at STC and hopefully the start of a new international collaboration.
"inIT is one of Germany's largest industrial research centers within Industrial IoT and it is fun that they want to collaborate with us at STC. We plan to start exchanges of students, PhD-students and researchers. In addition, we will exchange experiences and conduct tests on their test bed Lemgo Digital and on our 5G network Miun 5G."
