Industrial PhD‑student Adam Lundström will use AI for predictive maintenance

The deepest form of collaboration between a university and a company is to employ a joint industrial PhD-student. SCA and Mid Sweden University recently employed an industrial PhD-student, Adam Lundström, who will do research on predictive maintenance with main focus on machine learning.
With the help of new technology, SCA wants to be able to identify errors more easily and predict when accidents may occur to avoid unplanned stops and costs. Watch the interview with Adam and Jenny Friberg,
