Last week, STC Research Center, visited the IoT exhibition to show some of the IoT-projects that STC carried out in collaboration with ServaNet, which hosted the fair.

Around 100 people visited the IoT-fair on Thursday when the municipality-owned company ServaNet arranged on Thursday September 14. ServaNet supplies several municipalities with fiber networks and also manages and develops the LoRa-network that Mid Sweden University once installed for different IoT-applications.

At the fair STC presented differenent IoT-applications developed in research projects togethter with industry and muncipalities. For exampel a Snowdepth sensor, a sensor to detect overflow in drains, an smart camera who can count the flow of people in a city without restricting personal integrity.

There was great interest among the participants and new contacts were made during the day.

In connection with the fair, Business Sweden, IoT Sverige and Bron Innovation organized meetings with IoT companies in the region that are ready to step out onto an international market with their products. One of these companies was StarBit, that has commercialized a snow depth sensor that was originally developed at the STC research center. Inspiring to see research projects develop further and create benefit for society.
