Can you tell me briefly about your background?

I graduated from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Telecommunications. My main research topics are related to Wireless Sensor Networks, the Internet of Things, and Edge Intelligence.

How come you are doing your PhD at Mid Sweden University and STC Research Center?

I spent a long time searching and considering many PhD opportunities worldwide. Eventually, I realized that Mid Sweden University in general, and the STC Research Center specifically, had almost everything I was looking for. Additionally, I felt the enthusiasm and professionalism of the professors and colleagues here. That’s why I chose MIUN for my future career.

You will be part of the Ensure 6G-project, what will your research focus on?

I will be a member of the Ensure 6G project, focusing on intelligent wireless edge technology. My research will involve developing advanced algorithms to optimize the computation offloading at the network's edge, which is crucial for the efficiency and reliability of 6G networks.

Is there something in this project that you find particularly interesting?

It is a very big and important project. The first time I read the project proposal, I was very excited about it. It’s a project where many countries need to cooperate to resolve urgent issues in society.

When did you come to Sweden?

I arrived in Sweden on June 10th. Although I haven’t been here long, I am gradually falling in love with this place, especially Sundsvall.

What is it like to be part of an international research environment?

In my opinion, it is one of the most valuable experiences of my life. Here, I can research both academic and cultural aspects. It would be nice if I could meet more people from other countries around the world while in Sweden.
