Using sport science to enhance performance – An athlete's perspective
Britta Johansson Norgren
Britta is a professional cross-country skier who has participated in three Olympic Games (Turin 2006, Vancouver 2010 and Sochi 2014) and three World Championships (Sapporo 2007, Liberec 2009 and Oslo 2011), where she won bronze (2009) and silver (2011) in the 4 x 5-km relay. Britta also competed in numerous World Cup events between 2003-2014. However, Britta is perhaps most well known today for winning the overall Visma Ski Classics Long-Distance Ski Championships in both 2016 and 2017, as well as for her memorable Vasaloppet victory earlier this year. Britta has also read Sports Science at Mid Sweden University, was part of the Ski University between 2004-2014 and has participated in various scientific research studies at the NVC.
