SEK 9,3 million for research in biogas
Our researchers Ulf Söderlind and Wennan Zhang will get funding from EU regional development fund for research in biogas.
Climate targets develops the replacement of fossil-based fuels for bio-based fuels. In Sweden, approximately 1.2 TWh of fuel is produced in the form of biogas each year. We have adopted the goal of achieving a fossil-free vehicle traffic in 2030. By developing biomethane, the availability of biogas as vehicle fuel can increase in Sweden. Mid Sweden University now receives SEK 4.6 million from the EU Structural Funds for biogas research and the project's total budget is SEK 9.3 million.
