Digitized decision support ‑ policy and practice
The feasibility study aims to create a knowledge base that can be used to evaluate the benefits of digitized decision support as a tool for improving and developing business management and the ability to collaborate with the transport system's key players.
The feasibility study is divided into three sub-studies that deal with the challenges and issues of digitalisation at a) idea and policy level, b) structure and process level; and c) individual and group level. Results from the feasibility study must be able to be used as a basis for in-depth projects at the Swedish Transport Administration within relevant FOI portfolios.
The purpose of the feasibility study is to create a knowledge base that can be used to understand the importance of digitalisation for the transport system and to evaluate the benefits of digitized decision support as a tool for improving and developing control in the Swedish Transport Administration.
The aim of the feasibility study is to present a broad overview of factors (at societal level, operational level and individual level) that affect the conditions for a successful implementation of digitized decision support in operations with complex planning tasks, with special focus on the Swedish Transport Administration and other key actors in the transport system.
