Refugee Health Screener
On behalf of The National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen) researchers at Miun monitors the implementation of the self-assessment scale Refugee Health Screener (RHS) within student health care units around Sweden.
The long-term objection is to improve and facilitate assessment of mental health among students with a refugee background.
On behalf of The National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen) the research group monitors the implementation of the self-assessment scale Refugee Health Screener (RHS) within student health care units around Sweden. RHS measures general mental ill-health and distress and is developed for the refugee population.
RHS has been evaluated within the student health care in Sweden with satisfying results and the objective of this project is to implement the instrument in the everyday work of the student health care. In the AMIR project, the research group evaluated the RHS among adult refugees in a Swedish setting and it demonstrated good psychometric qualities. RHS is after this included in the health care visit offered to all asylum seekers and quota refugees upon arrival in Sweden.
