Rasmus Nordmark presented to Destination Östersund
Through his education at Mid Sweden University and the program for Tourism and Destination Development, Rasmus Nordmark, student and assistant in the project, is currently doing an internship at Destination Östersund. There he recently had the chance to present the project.
During his time in the project, Rasmus Nordmark has helped with recruitment, documentation, transcription and analyses for focus group interviews and surveys. On November 14, he presented the project to his colleagues at Destination Östersund, where he is currently completing his ten-week internship.
"I was lucky enough to present this research project that I have been involved in for the past year. Destination Östersund expressed an interest in taking part in the results and it is always fun when colleagues are interested and curious about my previous experiences," says Rasmus.
Rasmus says that his presentation aroused the interest of the employees at Destination Östersund - who also work with accessibility issues.
"The presentation started many interesting thoughts and input in all of us. They recognized many themes in our project because Destination Östersund has previously done a project on accessibility and inclusion with a focus on people with disabilities. In connection with that, they released, among other things, an accessibility guide. When I presented our project, they recognized much of what I said, and even though we don't have the same target group, both projects are about accessibility, so there are many similarities and common denominators. says Rasmus.
Finally, Rasmus thinks that the presentation gave a lot and believes that it is important to spread the project to other actors.
"Occasions like this where you have the chance to brainstorm together about what you can do better are always positive, I think, because by raising these issues about the importance of accessibility, it can hopefully lead to more discussion on the issue." Rasmus reasons.
