Experiences of bereavement groups – from significant others’ perspectives
Bereavement support can be provided once or at several occasions after the death of a loved one. To find persons who suffer from complicated grief can be meaningful for health care.
According to Sweden’s national clinical cancercare guidelines, all significant others should be offered bereavement support regardless of where or how their loved one died.
This project has focus on experiences from significant others, either participating, or not participating in bereavement groups. All invited persons had a loved one who had been cared for in palliative care before death.
Data is collected by written comments, interviews and questionnaires.
Results will be published in international journals.
