The value of leadership development in communicative leadership — an analysis of value creation in two companies

Recently, the three-year research project on communicative leadership at Mid Sweden University was funded by the KK Foundation, Sandvik Machining Solutions AB and AB Volvo.

Communicative leadership has a clear link to employee performance at the individual, departmental, and organizational levels. A communicative leader is often perceived as open and committed, and can be said to be one that motivates employees through dialogue, who actively informs and seeks feedback, as well as practices decision-making in which employees are involved.
