If you are going to visit the library, keep this in mind:

  • Spread out and keep your distance! Tables and chairs have been arranged to help you keep your distance, please do not re-arrange them.
  • We do not accompany patrons to the library shelves, computers or printers to answer questions. We will try our best to help from behind the information desk.
  • We are happy to help you via chat, e-mail and telephone.
  • Please stay in the designated place in front of the plexiglass at the information desk.
  • Avoid congestion at printers and copiers, follow the signs' instructions!
  • According to regional restrictions in Västernorrland, valid from 12 April, you are asked to use mouth guards when you are at the Sundsvall campus and in the library.

We can send your books home

If you do not want to come to the campus library, due to the risk of infection, to pick up your reservations, we can send home your ordered books. You reserve books as usual via Primo and then follow the instructions in the notification message to have the books sent to your home address. However, we cannot guarantee that the books will be delivered to your mailbox instead of to your nearest postal agent for collection. The library covers the shipping cost to you, but you can take care of and pay for the return or return.

The loan period for textbooks is normally 10 days, but we have temporarily extended it to 17 days. Re-lending is done automatically if no one is in line, the loan period is extended by 10 days at a time for textbooks.

You can return your books in the library's bookcases located outside the library on both campuses. It is also possible to send the books by post - postal address can be found here.

Overdue fees on borrowed books

Since the start of the Corona pandemic the library has changed the service regarding loans and holds, which among other things has meant that you did not have to pay a fee for overdue loans. On 1 September we will reintroduce fees. When a book is not returned on time, a fee of SEK 10 is charged per overdue book and day, so if you have overdue loans at home when we activate the fee, you will be charged for the days they are overdue.

Your loans are automatically extended as long as there are no queues and you have not had the book for too long, but when loans cannot be extended, you will be reminded that it is time to return your loans via e-mail. Please check which e-mail address we have registered for you by logging in to the My pages service. A third and final reminder is sent by regular mail and if the book is still not returned, you will be liable for replacing it. Read more about our rules for loans.
