What do I do if I’m ill?

Tue 18 Jan 2022 14:11

We’re getting a lot of questions at the moment about what to do if you’ve reserved or borrowed a book but can’t pick it up or return it due to illness.

The University returned to campus instruction on the 8th November and the University Library follows this policy. Therefore ordinary borrowing rules apply. That means library users are responsible for their borrowed books even when ill and you will have to pay a fine for the late return of a book. We do not send books home to users, except to those who are distance students and have had their application approved for the sending of books to your home address.

You can always ask a friend or relative to pick up/borrow books for you if the person has your ID or student login. You can also ask others to return books at the library or return books to us by post. You are required to pay for the postage costs.

There are currently no exceptions made due to the corona pandemic. If you have questions, please contact us at: biblioteket@miun.se
