Do you want to develop your leadership and at the same time help others succeed?
The library is now looking for new SI leaders (Supplemental Instruction) for the autumn semester! This is an opportunity for you who want to make a difference in other students' studies and at the same time sharpen your own skills in pedagogy and leadership.
We are looking for someone who:
- Studying year two or later in the computer engineering program or nursing program.
- Have taken the first semester's courses with a passing grade.
- Is curious about pedagogy and helping others develop.
- Want to strengthen your self-confidence and your skills in leading groups.
What does the assignment entail?
As an SI leader, you hold one SI meeting per week, 1–2 hours, for a small group (5–15 students) in one of the courses you have already taken.
You act as a discussion leader and sounding board, not as a teacher, and help students develop study techniques, understanding of course content and confidence before exams.
Of course, you will receive training and support before and during the assignment. This is a meritorious extra job that fits perfectly alongside your studies.
