The course starts in week 51. It is very important to attend the first lecture! It will not only introduce the course content and activities but there will also be an introductory lecture.

Four weeks before the beginning of the course you will get access to your schedule Please note that the timetable may be updated until the beginning of the course and even after that if something unforeseen happens.

Before you can begin your studies, there are three things you need to do
1. Get a login for the student portal (Swedish: Studentportalen)

If you are an international student and admitted to a campus-based program, you will receive your User ID upon arrival at Mid Sweden University. All international students who are admitted to a distance education program, will receive their User ID by email approximately one week before course start.
This is your most important tool during your studies at Mid Sweden University. Here, you will find information about courses, study material etc. This is also where you register for each course. All of this can be found at

2. Read through the current course syllabus
In the course syllabus, there is information about the course literature and other important things about the course for both teachers and students.

3. Register for the course
You must register for all of the courses you want to take during the semester. You can register no earlier than 2 workdays before the beginning of the course. It is important that you register for each course. It is important that you register for each course.

Course information
The course gives basic knowledge in conducting market research from an innovation perspective. The course deals with basic and central concepts within Innovation and market research area. The students are trained to conduct and present qualitative and quantitative studies. The students will develop their ability to plan, conduct and present market surveys with the aim of developing strategic decisions. Within the course, qualitative research methods are introduced for deeper understanding and quantitative research methods for more general results. During the course, students are trained in a scientific method for strategic thinking and for written and oral presentation techniques.
