The course begins with lectures on Strategic Management Theories in tourism at day 12 November 2019. The course ends by 14 December 2019

Before you can begin your studies, there are three things you need to do
1. Get a login for the student portal (Swedish: Studentportalen)

If you are an international student and admitted to a campus-based program, you will receive your User ID upon arrival at Mid Sweden University. All international students who are admitted to a distance education program, will receive their User ID by email approximately one week before course start.

3. Register for the course

Course information
This course introduces, explores and critically examines state-of-the art knowledge in management and economics of tourism with a specific focus on the interrelationship between businesses and tourists. The course introduces to theories, models and methodologies which engage you in the contemporary discourses of management and economics in tourism, thereby critically reflecting upon the global tourism system as well as the underlying assumptions of theories, models and methodologies. The course is organized into two parts which include theoretical frameworks and methods that relate to the management of tourism as a co-created service experience and the supply and demand economics of tourism.
