"It is a great honour for me to receive Nordea's Scientific Prize. It means a lot to me, especially since it is a result of the support of my colleagues at Mid Sweden University and our collaboration with one of the leading financial institutions in the country," says Mustafa Nourallah, PhD in Business Administration at Mid Sweden University.

The award is sponsored by Nordea's Norrland Foundation and the motivation reads, among other things:
Dr Mustafa Nourallah is a young researcher and senior lecturer in business administration and works at the Centre for Research on Economic Relations at Mid Sweden University. Mustafa's research focuses on bank customers' loyalty to mobile banking applications and young investors' trust in banks' robotic financial advice.

After his dissertation, Dr Nourallah has quickly received a number of prestigious assignments as project manager for the profiled research specialisation "Digital banking and Finance" at Mid Sweden University. He has also achieved external recognition through several keynote lectures and built up an impressive network of international contacts.

"I am proud to be part of the research collaboration that takes place through the Centre for Research on Economic Relations (CER) and aims to investigate how mobile applications (FinTech) can promote financial well-being globally, with a particular focus on Sweden, and at the same time contribute to achieving global goals that focus on health and vwell-being for everyone," says Mustafa Nourallah.

"Mustafa Nourallah's industry-related research has great potential to be a national and regional node in banking, insurance and pensions and to contribute to the development of banks' and Nordea's financial advice," says Carina Bergquist Palm, Chair of Nordea's Norrland Foundation.

The prize will be awarded at the Academic Ceremony, Friday 4 October 2024.

In addition, doctoral students Anna-Sara Fagerholm, at the Department of Natural Sciences, Design and Sustainable Development, Ninni Löfqvist, at the Department of Communication, Quality Technology and Information Systems, and Tim Segerberg, at the Department of Arts and Social Sciences, will each be awarded a travel grant from Nordea to be able to conduct research or study abroad.
