Investigation of whistleblowing cases
The whistleblowing unit is staffed by the Head of Legal Affairs and the Head of Internal Audit who report to the Vice-Chancellor. In cases where it is considered inappropriate to report to the Vice-Chancellor, the matter will be reported to the Chairman of the University Board.
During the investigation, the unit will contact different managers in the organization, and if needed, contacts outside of the university. Due to the integrity of the whistle blower and the accused person, only the necessary persons are involved in the handling of the notifications.
Any suspicion of crime will be reported to the police.
Once a wrongdoing has been reported, the unit will inform the accused person, if a person is named. In some cases, the unit may decide not to inform that person. For instance, this is the case if the suspicions relate to crimes the police must investigate.
The investigation procedure is carried out quickly.
