Aim

The aim of the course is to stimulate to a more reflective and critical thinking about theories in the areas of organizational culture and organizational change, especially when it comes to the link between organizational culture and concepts like leadership, performance, and change.

Course objectives

After finishing the course the student should be able to:
- Define and explain central concepts within organizational culture and organizational change
- Independently discuss and critically evaluate organizations like systems in a multi-dimensional environment and understand reasons behind organizational change
- Analyze, distinguish, and formulate business administrational problems and independently gather and deal with material from formulated issues regarding organizational culture and organizational change
- Independently delineate, design, and work out a written task with relevance for theory and issue and using business administrational methods
- Independently accomplish an opposition, actively and independently contribute in seminar discussions, and present articles and own work

The course starts from the concept of organizational culture and covers different themes connected to organizational culture.

- Organizational culture and performance
- Organizational culture and change

Entry requirements

Business Administration Ba (A/B) 52,5 Credits, with at least 22,5 Credits at Ba (B) level.

Campus course and Distance course:

At home exam or written assignment a supplementary oral presentation may be requested by the teacher in order for the student to show the required knowledge. This is to ensure that the student is the actual sender and author of the written work.
