The aim of the course is to introduce students to the visual language of photography in terms of composition, aesthetics, representation, meaning and the image as a whole. The course will cover the interaction between form and content, analysis of the photographic image and image sequence as well as an introduction to the ideas and histories related to how we see, read and make photographs.

Entry requirements

At least one year of successfully completed full-time study at university level.
