Course Package: Ecosystem services and environmental innovation
The course package consists of the following courses:
Ecosystem Services, 15 credits:
Ecosystem Services is an increasingly used concept to appreciate and interpret the value of the natural environment. The course explains the concept of Ecosystem Services and its relation to sustainable development, especially in the contrast of ecosystems and economics. Special focus is placed on applying the concept of Ecosystem Services on Swedish alpine ecosystems and boreal forest ecosystems.
Environmentally Driven Innovation, 15 credits:
In this course the students should acquire a broad understanding of product, innovation and business development, and knowledge of technology diffusion, environmental driving forces and environmental markets. The teaching is problem-oriented aiming at students require the theoretical and practical skills in project implementation.
