Sport Science MA, Exercise Physiology II, 7,5 credits

The course aims to develop understanding of the way that the human body adapts to the surrounding environment and to acute and chronic training. Specifically, the course covers the regulation of energy metabolism, respiration, cardiovascular system and muscle function and their roles in exercise performance. The course is in English.

Meetings

Included in the course is one physical meeting in Östersund (usually over 2-3 working days) where attendance is compulsory in order to satisfy the requirements for certain course modules.

Entry requirements

A Bachelor degree consisting of at least 180 credits, including a degree project of at least 15 credits in sports science, physical education, or physiotherapy.

Or

A Bachelor degree consisting of at least 180 credits, including a degree project of at least 15 credits in another subject, as well as a minimum of 60 ECTS credits in one or more of the following subjects: physiology, exercise physiology, testing methods in sports science, kinesiology, biomechanics, coaching and leadership, sports nutrition, sports medicine, and training sciences.

And

English course 6/English course B from Swedish Upper Secondary School (Gymnasium) or the equivalent.
