Course Package in Detector and Measurement Systems, 30 credits
Multispectral measurement systems are important for selective measurement situations, such as optimization of industrial processes and environmental monitoring. Modern sensor technology can verify if a final product contains the correct composition or if waste contains harmful substances. The challenge is quick and effective identification of substances or constituents directly on site.
The course package provides you with a thematic semester ranging from manufacturing processes for detectors to end use in a measurement system. You will learn about functions of different detectors and how large data streams and modern data analysis methods can be implemented in a measurement system. Finally, you will conduct a project, which will deepen your understanding of this domain, and provide you with a foundation in conducting and communicating research.
The course package consists of the following courses: Semiconductor Detectors and Measurement Technology, 7.5 credits, Analysis Methods for Large Data Streams in Simulations and Measurement Systems, 7.5 credits, Specialization Project within Detector and Measurement Systems, 9 credits, and Scientific Writing and Research Methods, 6 credits.
