The master by research programme in computer engineering targets those who are highly motivated to develop skills and knowledge for a future career in research and development. It is also an excellent preparation for future doctoral studies. During the training you will work with researchers with a specific research question in one of Mittuniversitetets largest research environments. You alternate research work with the academic studies needed to solve the task.
As a student, you are part of a research group at the Sensible Things that Communicate (STC) research center, and participate with researchers in a research project where you will work both independently and together with others.
The education consists of theoretical and project-based courses and leads to an individual thesis work during the last semester - a master thesis.
English course 6/English course B from Swedish Upper Secondary School (Gymnasium) or the equivalent.
Degree of Bachelor (at least 180 credits), Degree of Bachelor of Science in Computer or Electrical Engineering (at least 180 credits), or equivalent, with at least 30 credits in Mathematics/Applied Mathematics, including courses in probability theory and statistics and discrete mathematics, and 60 credits in Computer Engineering including 15 credits in an object oriented programming language.
