This research preparatory programme is aimed at students who wish to deepen their knowledge and skills in planning and conducting research projects. As a student, you will plan and conduct a larger, coherent project together with senior researchers.

The programme has three specializations – Tourism, Sport Sciences and Social Work. The specialization Social Work is only available/taught in Swedish.

Our research in the field of tourism focuses on nature-based tourism, information technology and tourism, destinations as well as the economic, political and spatial dynamics of tourism. Our research in the field of sport sciences focuses on three areas: training and performance within competitive sports, environmental physiology and physical activity and health. Before applying to sport sciences, you should have contacted a potential. Our research in the field of social work focuses on human rights issues, social justice and global challenges of social work. The specialization social work is only available/taught in Swedish.

You will work independently and focused in a project you choose, together with your supervisor, in one of the research fields of the Department of Economics, Geography, Law and Tourism, Department of Health Sciences or the Department of Psychology and Social Work. The programme consists of second cycle courses as well as an extensive individual degree work that ends with a written and oral presentation of your project.
