Aim
The program will develop the students knowledge and skillsas well as the students abilty to solve problems and to apply new knowledge within the area of the program.
Programme objectives
The student will after fullfilled eduction:
- be able to design and implement applications using object oriented methodology and technology.
- have knowledge abot and be able to apply knowledge from areas as operating systems and computer communication.
- be able to develop secure webb-based client/server applications attached to databases. The client will eventualle be mobile.

Each course is 7.5 higher education credits (5 weeks full time study) when nothing else is stated.

Computer Engineering BA (A), Introduction to computer science.
Computer Engineering BA (A), Introduction to the profession in cooperation with IT-companies. GR (A).
Computer Engineering BA (A), Operating systems.
Computer Engineering BA (A), Introduction to Programming in C++.
Computer Engineering BA (A), Computer networks.
Computer Engineering BA (A), Object Based Programming in C++.
Computer Engineering BA (A), Information security and risk analysis.
Mathematics BA (A), Applied mathematics and Matematical Statistics.
The first year contains courses necessary to get deep knowledge within object oriented programming.
Year 2

The second year concerns aspects of development aiming at web based applications including handling database connections, merge of Java and C++ and applications for mobile units.
Description of programme
The program, developed to meet the requirements from local IT companies, is a two year fulltime study program leading to a University Diploma.
Selection rules and procedures
The selection process is in accordance with the Higher Education Ordinance and the local order of admission.

Special demands of knowledge required for courses within the program will be stated in the syllabus.
Teaching and examination
Lectures, laborations and project tasks. The education will have two threads; campus based and net based. Material will be available on MIUNs platform for net based learning for both threads.
Written exam, laborations and projects. In case of net based exam MIUNs interactive communication tools may be used. The form of examination is stated in each syllabus.
