Aim

The course aims for the student to demonstrate advanced knowledge, skills, and abilities in relation to undergraduate education and should

\- deepen their knowledge of the school form/activity that the practical training concerns,

\- enhance their ability to independently apply advanced knowledge within the main field of pedagogy, 

\- deepen their ability to handle complex phenomena, issues, and situations, and 

\- deepen their prerequisites for professional practice that demands a high level of independence.

Course objectives

The student should:

- demonstrate an advanced ability to understand and account for goals, content, and methods in the activities, 
- demonstrate an advanced ability to plan, implement, and evaluate activities/teaching and related tasks, 
- through their own in-depth experience, explore the teacher's professional role, 
- exhibit an advanced ability to reflect and analyze, assess, and handle complex phenomena, issues, and situations, and 
- orally and in writing, be able to present and discuss their advanced knowledge of the activities.

Content

Internship in pre-school, leisure-centre, basic school, secondary or upper secondary school. Training school or other educational or social activities for children and young people.

Entry requirements

Admission to Teacher Education and accepted for Erasmus placement or Nordplus placement in home country. Admission to Teacher Education and accepted for Erasmus placement or Nordplus placement at Mid Sweden University.

Selection rules and procedures

The selection process is in accordance with the Higher Education Ordinance and the local order of admission.
