Economics studies and an Olympic bronze medal | 2006 |
Anna Ottosson had decided to retire from skiing within the next couple of years. She knew that the Olympic Games in Turin would be her last chance to win a championship medal. Still, she chose to study economics part time parallel to her training for the Olympics.
– By studying at the same time as I was training, I activated my brain, was forced out of the sports bubble and could relax during the competitions, she says. It was a successful combination and Anna won her much longed-for Olympic bronze medal.
In the spring of 2007, she was awarded a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Mid Sweden University.
