Sudden increase in the number of degrees awarded | 2005 |
Statistics can be interpreted in many different ways. For example, in 2005, we could see that the number of students who had graduated from Mid Sweden University had suddenly increased to 1557, which was about 250 more than the previous year. Brilliant! But what was the reason?
The explanation was simple. Many students who had completed their studies in 2004 simply waited to collect their degrees until January 2005 – when we were raised to University status. The sudden increase was therefore not so strange, and we can happily see that the number of degrees that are awarded has continued to increase steadily. Today, we award about 1800 degrees per year.
