Open house for the whole family at Mid Sweden University in Östersund!
On Saturday 27 September at 11–13, we open the doors to Mid Sweden University and invite everyone to a day filled with activities, meetings and inspiration. Welcome to discover our research, education and community in a playful and educational way.
What is really going on behind the doors of the university? During the Open House, you will have the chance to peek behind the scenes, meet researchers, students and teachers – and try out a number of exciting activities yourself.
At the University Library, you can take a break in comfy bean bags, try photo orientation or make your own booklet with a needle and thread. Then you can come up with your own ideas for our future food together with Spilloteket and our researchers.
Program robots and make pins with Geek Girl Mini – a technology initiative that inspires girls to discover the possibilities of technology. In addition, you can meet the Student Union, which shows why student life is so much more than just studies.
During the day, you can listen to researchers talk about their exciting projects, discover the art in our premises and go on a guided history walk through the area together with Gunilla Nilsson Edler. And of course there will be competitions, great prizes and something good to eat – we serve free hot dogs.
This is a day for both young and old, for the inquisitive and for those who just want to have a nice time with others. Welcome to Mid Sweden University on 27 September at 11.00-13.00 – we look forward to meeting you!
More information about the program and activities will be published on an ongoing basis.
The open house is part of ForskarFredag and Mid Sweden University's 20th anniversary.
