Forskning

Research

My research is situated in the fields of critical and intersectional theory. I study labor conflict from a historical-sociological perspective, particularly the radicalization of public professionals. My dissertation, Care in Revolt, explored collective action among registered nurses in Sweden and I have since written on the changing pattern of class conflict in Sweden in the neoliberal period. Theoretically, I have mainly written on the theme of "real abstraction", including on Marx's analysis of wage labor and proletarian subjectivity and the co-constitution and intersections of economic forms and forms of social inequality, exploring how capitalist forms (e.g. money, commodity, wage labor) structure and synthesize modern societies in lieu of democratic dialogue.
