Bakgrund

I took my master's degree in public health science at Mälardalen University and after seven years of practical public health work in the county and municipality, I was accepted to a doctoral position in health science at Mid Sweden University in 2009. I defenden my thesis "Where the pupils are - a setting approach on the school as a supportive environment for health" in 2013. Since 2014 I am a lecturer in rehabilitation science at the department of health sciences (HOV).

Forskning

From the first of September 2022, I am a project leader of the IDE-project, a research project in collaboration with Härnösand municipality about influential, participation and empowerment among young people with intellecutal disabilities. The project will involve researchers from the department of health sciences (HOV) and the department of design (DES). I am especially interested in participation and its dimensions. The visual metod photovoice is a part of my research and has been with me since my doctoral studies. The article Photovoice: an opportunity and challenge for studnt's genuine participation has been citet over hundred times .
